Therapeutic Touch was the first in a holistic path of learning for Robynne Kingswood, but far from the last. Registered Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Acupuncture/Acupressure and a hand full of other modalities followed. Clinical environments including multidisciplinary, international chain hotel, spa and home based clinical location span throughout her career. Pain based pathologies with an emphasis on stress management is a clinical focus. Relocating in 2014 to Vernon, British Columbia, Robynne is continuing to grow the practice she established 10 years ago out of province.
She has also been an educator at college level in the Professional Development stream of curriculum for the past 10+ years, also lecturing for a governing body province wide on Professionalism in the clinical setting for 5 years. Robynne is acting Practical Director for the Okanagan College of Massage Therapy in Vernon and actively instructs Communication and Ethics and Business as well as involved in the research case studies for senior year students
Former Director and instructor for HALO (Healing Arts Learning Organization) Robynne enjoyed training individuals in Reflexology (Foot, Hand, and Auricular) and Hot Stone Massage. Marketing Clinical Health Care was the first academic text released Dec 2011. Build out of seeing frustration in the graduating classes year after year, this book is aimed at being user friendly, cost effective and result oriented without sacrificing professional ethics. Applicable within health care curriculum, and while written from a Canadian perspective this dynamic text is applicable internationally. This text is currently being utilized in professional development and related curriculum in Canada for Massage Therapy training.
